EML 300B, 300B XLS and 300B mesh plates

Hello guys 

I'm thinking about buying a pair of EML 300B tubes and I would like to hear opinions from another audiophiles with "direct experience" on them, at least on two of their models.

I know mesh plates can't work in all amps, but they can with mine. 

For what I've read on the scarce comparisons on the web, mesh plates should suit better my taste, but they are also more fragil. So, I'm only willing to buying them if  I can confirm that the differences in sound signature are what I've read.

If the differences are small, the regular or XLS versions are a saffer bet.
