Eminent Technology ET-2 Tonearm Owners

Hi guys
I bought a vDH colibri xgp, not the light version, and I was wondering if it was a good match with the ET 2 original arm tube? My other options are a VPI 12 or a MS 505.

I have been following this thread as I now have 2 ET 2's and a 1. Only one 2 running for now though. I have set up a audioquest 7000nsx and am being rewarded with great sound. Not sure of the specs of this older cartridge though so I was wondering if anyone had those and how you guys would recommend me setting this up. I only have the aluminum wand but am thinking of springing for another. And I am going to buy some more I beams with different springs.
Also Chris I believe we may be almost neighbours! I tried to email you but it bounced back.
If anyone has a accutrex for sale I could be tempted to purchase it.

Thanks so much for your help frogman. Your right the 7000 is a very detailed cart but in my system I still find it to be very musical as well. It is a lot like my Lyra Delos but more resolving, not surprising as they are cousins. So at a compliance of 9 it would be quite low right?

john would you want to sell your audio quest?  I had one and loved it so am looking for another to see if my memory of it is as good as reality. Anyone try the alita pump after using the stock et one?  Wondering if it is better. 

Gyneguy how about 350 then?😁😇. Your a wise man for keeping it. I also have a Lyra helikon but the 7000 was a better match for my et as it had lower compliance. And yes I could see that the kleos may not be much of an improvement.

id say you were fed a load of baloney. If the suspension was bad it will no longer play without the body hitting the record. Until that happens play away. Now obviously that doesn't take into account the state of the stylus. You could send to a retipper and have a new tip put on. Make sure you don't use a guy that replaces the cantilever as well. This will change the voicing of the cartridge. 

 Hi Harry, I have done the tweak that frog man suggested. I used rubber grommets  which gave me about a quarter to half inch extra height. Also as I believe somebody else suggested I think it isolated the armboard better.  Very easy fix in my opinion. 

 Hi guys, just wanted to warn everyone about a negative  interaction I had with some clown who has an ad posted saying he wants an ET two tonearm.  I answered his ad as I have two of them and right now I am using neither. The one I offered him is in perfect condition and I paid a tech $400 to put a straight shot of top-of-the-line cardas wiring going to their termination block.   The VTA block works perfectly and it is in excellent condition. There is also two pumps with it that I have seen go for good bucks on eBay.   Well he offers me way less than my asking and starts calling me an idiot  and other names when I tell him  never mind, good luck  with the search. He tells me my pump is worth 40 bucks and as proof posts a pic of one on eBay that is not even remotely the same thing. Then he tells me the wiring is $53.   Heck if he has a technician that will put a metre of top-of-the-line card ass wiring on for that money I want to know!  He says that's the trouble with us audio files we think her stuff is all worth way more than it is. Just wanted to put a heads up on this forum as  there could be a good chance somebody from here would offer to sell him one.  I would suggest not to bother as he's obviously looking for champagne on a beer budget.  And nobody needs the verbal abuse from some clown on the Internet.
