At the risk of being obvious, could the seller give you a clue as to what the issuess are with it?

"Ultimately like to mount this on a VPI Table"

What platform? Whenever I get around to upgrading, I plan on using my Classic base for a project.

I would imagine  contacting ET directly would be the best source?

**** No, Guess Ill check for pressure holding in the cylinder. For starters ****

Not without a proper pump, you won’t. Are you saying that you have all the parts except for the pump? First, take a look at this diagram and confirm what parts you do have and get back to us. Importantly, what “mods” have been performed?:Which VPI?

Great arm, btw!

Thank you for the information.

After reading and understanding numerous posts on air pressure, pumps, for this tonearm mad a secondary pressure tank off my compressor at about  2.5 lbs of pressure and indeed the  Tonearm responded well with a velvety smooth movement smoother then without the air. So thats a go for me to get the Alignment jig ect

I already showed the Arm to the manufacturer, main concern for him is air cylinder.

I had my ET 2.0 (later 2.5) on a VPI TNT Jr. turntable for 20 years.  It was a good combination.  Harry Weisfeld told me that the ET had been used extensively in development of the TNT.  I've since remounted it on a PTP Solid 12 and prefer that combination by a small margin.

I have a VPI classic with the ET-2 arm. There has been a lot of mods done to the table and I believe it sounds fantastic. I use the hi pressure manifold with a Jun-air compressor. There is a ET-2 thread in the forum here that is a thousand pages long and has a lot of information.
