DVD cable from PC to Oppo 205

Good Day,

I am currently running a DVD cable from my PC to my Oppo 205 with RCA's to my Primaluna. Does the quality of the DVD make an appreciable difference in the final sound to the speakers? I am using JRiver and I believe I have my PC set for bit-perfect sound. When I use my portable Astell & Kern directly to the amp the sound is better in many ways. This has made me wonder about the PC connection and cable.

Or, is there a better way to get sound to the Oppo besides a DVD cable.
