Doesn't matter. Speaker connections are very low impedance and relatively high voltage so EMI in this circumstance will be inconsequential.
Duplex outlet next to speaker cable
My current dedicated line outlet is incased in a exterior type metal box that rests on top of the carpet and is about 3 inches from one speaker cable. Do outlets emit any emi/rfi that I need to worry about? Does box material mater? While I can move the box if if really need to it will probably involve running a new line or adding another box in line
