much of the Eighteenth Street Lounge Music (ESL Music) catalog fits the bill.
Dub tribal ambient downtempo music
Hi all!
I'm in search of a great ambient/downtempo with a lot of dub elements inside and possibly tribal music. Something similar to:
Pitch black,
Paddy Free,
Yagya,
The Embassadors,
DeepChord Presents Echospace,
some Burnt Friedman works...
I'm also in search of some new Dub artists.
Thanks :)

Hi Zolar, Me again. I just listened to some of the artists you suggested and have a few additionnal suggestions for you since you seem to like ambiant electronica with some beat in it (just like me): Lulu Rouge - Bless you Lulu Rouge - The Song is in the Drum John Hopkins - Immunity Pinch & Shackleton - Pinch & Shackleton SBTRKT - Transitions Voices from the Lake - Voices from the Lake All of these albums are good from start to finish and incredibely well recorded. Electronica artists know how to do nice recordings. |
Check out Rhythm and Sound's album Rhythm and Sound. |
Check out this, an album called Western Slope by an artist named Patch, formerly of Heavyweight Dub Champion out of Boulder. |
