Does other Audiogon members' opinion carry any weight for you ?

I do have a mental filter for some members who comment here daily and have gone on insane and revolting  tirades that insulted about 70% of the world population. I wonder if they would speak to their children or neighbors like that....

Similar to my approach to buying something from Amazon… look at the comments, see the overall rating and see what the pattern is and learn about the product. 
If a opinion about a product is presented well with no huge bias or too singular a point I respect that but so often opinions are very narrow focused which I don’t find as helpful.

I get astonished at the negative mud slinging… it’s a hobby and as long as you enjoy your stuff that’s all that is really important.

If member opinions don’t carry any weight, there is always a quick account delete button.

But, here it is, an entire lousy thread on this topic smh..."except for a few exceptions", he says...he must be a very special high level kinda guy, right fellas?..mmhm, we've seen his kind.... Well, one could always approximate the "few" to "zero" (3/1000 is approximately equal to 0/1000) and just close his account, i suppose.

A moment of self-reflection, ah...I primarily log on here check classifieds/check if the kind of stuff i want shows up or not.... to be fair, I suppose one would also keep an open account for that purpose.
