Do you have a speaker that’s not a big name maker but punches above its weight? Why?

I have a Gato Fm6. My reference for last 10 years. Sounds amazing. Designer used to work for Gamut. Amazing clarity. Great open midrange and vapor like treble that’s detailed , transparent and vapor like!  What are others?

@jl35 i had the combination at the Lonestar Audiofest with Infigo. I understand. Gato on Gato probably sounds great.  It’s good when you have that. I have gato speakers and the rest of my system is all infigo with Infigo cabling. Hans the engineer at Infigo owns a pair of modified GATO FM50’s that he uses to test our electronics on.  I’m never selling my fm6’s ever!

@everyone reading this thread.  If you wanna try any Infigo cables. We are starting a lend a whole loom demo.

I had posted earlier about the Gato FM15- punching way above their weight. A brand not well known for their speakers and a brand not that well known period.

Another pair I would add to the mix is Omega. Have had the Junior 8 XRS- amazing sound. That they look great also helps- pass the wife test.

None of the small brands I really like are inexpensive, but, they do deliver great sound, in my opinion.  My list would include:

Songer Audio (field coil driver)

PureAudioProject (open baffle designs)

Charney Audio (single driver back loaded horn)

Deja Vu Audio (custom made systems with vintage horn midrange drivers)

WaveTouch Anteros. Controversial because of Alex Yoons antics both online and at shows. But the Anteros are the best speakers I've ever owned and I've owned a ton over 25 years....full list is in my virtual system under speakers
