Subwoofer Question
@m-db That’s white noise from a Stereophile system test cd. I believe its flat from 20hz to 20khz. The graph is my speakers only without the sub. I will do one with the subwoofer.
Subwoofer Question
So a second sub eliminates peaks and nulls or just decreases the chances of a listener sitting in one?
Subwoofer tweaks
@mitch2 Hahahahahahaha!!!! Well all part of the Encyclopedia Audiogalactica!!
Subwoofer tweaks
You didnt mention what kind of floor your sub is on but in my room, on a suspended hardwood floor, I found that decoupling with Sorbothane half sphere footers was a huge improvement. Also adding weight on top of my Sub (REL T/7X) in terms of a 15l...
Subwoofer Question
Thanks to everyone who helped me figure this out. I lowered my crossover to what Im guessing is around 40 Hz and that solved the problem. I was probably getting overlap from 50-75 Hz and surprisingly that’s enough to pull my imaging over about a ...
Subwoofer Question
Hi Loyd, Check out my virtual system. All the answers to your questions are there. Thank you! Im going to lower my crossover point. My speakers go down to 44Hz so I can go lower.

Very interesting... I have KG4s. I’m just curious as to the potential of these with mods. Currently the tweeter gives me a headache after 3 minutes and the upper bass is very flabby. Not much info under about 75 hz I figure.  Question about the L...
Subwoofer Question
That's what I was thinking. Those frequencies are supposed to be non directional right?

High end starts when you start hearing the differences between components and you change a component in search of better quality reproduction..

@danmar123 How? You mounted the ALK externally?
Do you have a speaker that’s not a big name maker but punches above its weight? Why?
WaveTouch Anteros. Controversial because of Alex Yoons antics both online and at shows. But the Anteros are the best speakers I've ever owned and I've owned a ton over 25 years....full list is in my virtual system under speakers

Maybe I will install baffles, bass is still sounding flabby.

@buellrider97  KG4s. I did consider putting in front to back baffles to stiffen the front but in the end didn't.

The ALK looks interesting but you can’t adjust on the fly... Hoping the Crites Ti diaphragm will just make the shrillness go away and I won't need any attenuation control on the speaker at all.
