Do people hate Eversolo on here? Or is it liked some?

Just trying to a tap on the feelings of Eversolo around here. Do some people like it or does everyone hate it? Like the upper models like A8 and A10?

+1 for saugertiesbob - you nailed the response. I don't get ronmen's response, as I setup an A-6ME for a friend, and while I was using a Cambridge Audio Azue 851N before, after comparing the A6 with it, I went straight out and bought an A-8 - what a great sounding device. OP, don't think, just go buy one, and you will love it.

I also tried the A8 direct into my Threshold S300 Stasis while I had the A8, and was quite surprised that it sounded almost as good as my Audio Research Reference 3! But not quite, so the ARC stayed. Thinking how good the A-8 was, I went for the lovely looking, and better sounding A-10, which gave a good uplift in performance over the A8 - ONCE it was fully run in. About that - the A6 took, maybe, a week before it started to 'sing', but the A8 took almost two weeks before it settled, while my A10 took well over one Month, so when/if you, or anyone, buys one of these, give it some time before critical listening. This may be why ronmen didn't like his A6, as they do sound,,, ho-hum when new - a touch flat/lifeless/bright.

The A-10 is a wonderful piece of kit, and as some have said, the interface is absolutely superb, and from what I've seen, and used on other streamers, it's the best out there. One can 'cast' the display screen direct to your mobile phone/tablet, and do everything on it, that you can do directly on the unit itself.

The only bugbear, or the only one I've found, is that the PC/laptop web interface is,,, a useless joke! The 192.168.0.xx 'file transfer' page only allows SINGLE file transfer! So, if you, like me, have thousands of folders you may want to transfer to the onboard 64GB storage, and ONLY the internal storage, then you'll be quite some time! Their excuse for that limitation was web transfer protocols, which, although there, it would not impact folder transfer providing the folder was <4GB (browser dependent - as some only allow 2.5GB).

But don't bother with the web interface, as the unit is fully capable, even from your phone, of transfering/copying anything/everything from PC/NAS direct to the M.2 storage on the unit itself.

I've only needed 'support' once, for a minor issue, and I got a reply and solution within hours, so I have zero issues with their support. There's been about three FW updates in the 3 Months I've had it, and each update goes without a hitch, so no complaints there either. All three units I've had performed faultlessly and sounded really good, and for what they provide, are bargains in their respective price categories.

@gkelly - these ARE dedicated streamer/DACs, so I don't know what your point is?

@lanx0003 - it's not helpful and it's inapropriate to make a comment like that, without explaining yourself. What experience??

So, you want me to elaborate on what exactly made my experience "poor"—otherwise, my comment might seem inappropriate to you (by the way, you had a typo). Fine, I understand—there’s been a lot of hype from both reviewers and end users like yourself.

During the 30-day home audition, I made sure the unit was fully broken in before doing any meaningful side-by-side comparisons with my other streamers. Unfortunately, I was disappointed by the sound quality. I recall one of the ports producing noticeably higher background noise, which suggested a potential quality control issue. Sonically, it didn't stand out compared to my iFi Zen and Wiim Pro+—and there was a hint of edginess in the highs that caused listening fatigue.  The internal DAC is also inferior to Wiim Pro+.

Keep in mind, this was a product priced at 2.5 times more than my existing gear, so I genuinely hoped it would elevate my listening experience. I don’t deny that part of my disappointment may have come from higher expectations—but the reality is, it simply didn’t meet them. I returned it, and as is often the case, once you’ve been burned, it’s hard to care about that brand again.

@daveteauk The A8 is a preamplifier/DAC/streamer. OP has a McIntosh preamp. A portion of the costs of the A8 is the preamplifier. So I was figuring for a $2000 dollar box, approximately $666 is spent on the preamplifier portion of the box.
Want to also add is that OP has some equipment that is getting fairly expensive and that a player such as InnuOs or Aurender products are being suggested to them.

@lanx0003 I remember when I first started streaming, it wasn’t until I got a InnuOs that it made sense. All the hubbub that I hear about the love for low cost players seems to come from a position of not being willing to save their money. Nor do they seem to understand, the concept of everything is built to a price point.

I just did another update on my Dad's A6.   Happy to say the latest FW is dropouts free.   Unfortunately it still doesn't recognize Mac  USB DACs , it used to before 1.2.50.   Hey, almost... two updates ago it recognized the device but no sound.

Fortunately Coax is the work around,  fingers crossed it remains stable.

I'm with gkelly in that Eversolo prices are approaching Innuos and Aurender,   so I can't recommend them given the excellent support of Aurender and Innuos.
