I have been into audio over 40 years , and be8ng on the East  coast have a multi state audio hub that people listen to,review and compare gear . I  find it a bit alarming where for example ROn at new record day says the Holo springs KTE dac. Top dog vs the older Denafrips Terminator I would agree slightly , and whst is not told , and I as a ex audio dealer Thst Everything 100%. Must be the same , even 1 power cord or interconnect can totally  change the balance and outcome.

also the New Terminator 2 is non 99% the T+ dac  and these New dual XO oven 🕰 clocks are a major step up to these Femto clock s and with the bunch of exceptional  Swiss Elna Silmic filtering capacitors ,and Super caps in thepower supply it takes over 650 hours to settle in and up to 1000 hours to fully refine .

i have heard both dacs they are both exceptionally good. The May KTE is a bit smooth and slightly laid back , with great clarity-and detail .

the T2 dac in non over sample mode is a bit softer and a bit less defines, but in its over sampling mode it is still very natural And Analog sounding ,but more power Bass and dynamics , it’s more about preference since they are both exceptional.

thst being said for the extra $1k fir the KTE you can buy the complementing Iris ,or more $$ Hermes ddc which I did , and then it’s on another level . If I had a $4-6 k server streamer then the ddc reclocker. Less important . I will say I sync the reclocker using 2 -Wireworld BNC star light cables which uses the exceptional 45,49 MHz Xover oven controlled clocks ,buffers, and FPGA  . Coming from my music server a custom usb then Wireworld Silver Sphere. Hdmi-I2S from Iris to T2 bypassing the internal clock in the Iris ,the Iris is excellent at cleaning the incoming usb signal then syncing the T2 ⏰ s  all signal sharing information is I2S  which is the best way to isolate the digital signal from the many tests we have done .

for the price of the may dac I get th3 reclocker and WWorld .5 m cables 

I use decent $400 power cords ,and put in a Hifi tuning Supreme fuse in the Iris reclocker ,all cables the same as well as equipment . 
look at the current Review of theNew T2 in Audiophile lifestyle .                                or Steve Guttenburg .  And that’s without my upgrades for the same $$.  This is my experience ,and imo best  deal , and even with reclocker the May KTE and T2 very close ,but slight differences , your speakers, and taste may vary.
