Digital cable length- SPDIF vs AES/EBU- 1.5 meter for either?

Some have postulated, with Steve Nugent at the forefront, that a digital cable between source and DAC should be 1.5 meters. The articles I've read nominally speak of 75 ohm SPDIF cables. Does the same length reccomendation hold true for a 110 ohm AES/EBU cable?

What cable lengths do you use if you are going from SPDIF to AES or vice versa with a converter? For example, if I use Hosa CDL-313 S/PDIF Coax to AES/EBU Digital Audio Interfacehttps://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/CDL313--hosa-cdl-313

IF I agree that 1.5m minimum length is best to minimize effects of reflections, then do I need a total of 3m (1.5m AES cable to the converter then 1.5m SPDIF out of the converter)? Or do I need a total of 1.5m (0.75m SPDIF in and 0.75m AES/EBU out).

I am sure they will both work, but of course I'm looking for the most accurate data transfer with the least jitter, interference or reflections. From what I read, it seems like the reflections can occur at each interface, so in theory each separate line needs to be 1.5m for a total of 3m in my case. But I'm not sure. Thanks for any help!
