I'd call Ayre up and talk to them about it. I know they did upgrade the power supply of the CX-7 pretty early in production.

Different power supplies Ayre CX-7 -important?
From what I can find out the European version of the Ayre CX-7 CD player has a completely different power supply from the American one.
Anybody any thoughts on how this might affect the sound quality?
I would have thought that the designer would want to ensure that the sound was as close to identical as possible and maybe it is but am I wrong to think it could be significant?
