The difference between the xrcd and the xrcd2 is that the xrcd2 adds a step to the process. There is jitter elimination in both the 20 and 16 bit word lengths. The xrcd has the jitter elimination only after it has been converted from 20 to 16. The xrcd24 utilizes the same process as the xrcd2 with a 24 bit word length instead of 20.
