Cant speak to the 2500, but I recently had the 1600 in my home, purchased for a friend. Very nice looking,excellent build quality ( made in Japan ) and sounded very good right out of the box, especially on SACD. SACD players in that price range are getting scarce,I think you would be in good hands with that piece, That Yamaha has been around (years ) for a while now. The Denon I had was manufactured in Oct. 2019,so only 6 months old.
Difference between Denon DCD 2500ne and 1600ne
Just curious to see if there is a significant difference between the Denon DCD-2500ne and DCD-1600ne.
Currently researching a new SACD Player and the Denon 1600 is on the top of my list.
But now and then I see the 2500ne on ebay for close to the price of the 1600.
Only thing with the 2500 is that I would need to get a step down transformer to get it work since it is a japan product.
But I wonder if it is a big step up from the 1600?
Anyone user either before or have any experience?
Also considering the Yamaha CDS1000 as a contender.
