Did Amir Change Your Mind About Anything?

He just confirmed what I already thought. I’ve been away from a Audio for a long time and could not believe what was going on when I got back. He does it as a public service. There’s nothing in it for him. He reviews equipment that people sent him and he takes donations to buy more equipment to review. He certainly is not getting rich doing what he’s doing. I am absolutely sure that the amount of aggravation is not worth the amount of money that people send him.

I still can’t figure out why so many people get bent out of shape with Amir. I see the measurements as one part of the equation. Then I check peoples reviews and use that as the other part of the equation. He’s doing all this for free and all he gets his headaches from people who don’t like when he posts scientific information that might be less than flattering to a piece of equipment. So what’s the big deal? You bought a piece of equipment that got a bad review scientifically but you still like how it sounds. Well it’s not gonna be the first time that you will buy some thing that hasn’t reviewed well scientifically  but if you like how it sounds that’s your business… who cares? The last 10 purchases I have made I have looked at Amir’s website to see if there was any information on his website that would help me make a decision. The last one was a DAC  that I bought called the Okto 8. It got really great measurements and I didn’t look for how it sounded from Amir.  I went and looked at other websites on the Internet and read reviews. I bought the unit and was very happy with it. In my book it passed both tests. Scientifically it was in the top 10 and all the reviews I read were all very positive.. I don’t see the problem… so you don’t like his style but he still is giving you very valuable information for free. I think that his website is a winner and I hope that he does it for a long time because I consider him to be a trustworthy guy.

We have too much time on our hands in our society! What a waste of time, I can’t believe I wasted a half hour reading all this crap. I can’t believe that a bunch of other people did too… yikes! What are we doing to ourselves? If I wasn’t stuck in my wheelchair I’d be up doing something productive.

Don’t change a thing a Amir! I got back into audio as a hobby for years ago and could not believe the things that I saw. $4000 audio cables crazy magic rocks, little dots that you stick to your wall. I thought the world of gone nuts. I seriously asked myself did I miss something in science class that this stuff actually works? Should I go with the bass who buys this stuff? Are they smarter than I am or are people really buying this stuff? It just makes me shake my head. You’re trying to help people see the forest through the trees and all they can do is be disrespectful . or angry at you because they probably have spent a bunch of money on stuff that they thought made a difference and found out that it probably didn’t and in the end they got taken advantage of. So you shoot the messenger. You’re not supposed to though… please keep up the good work! I spend a lot of money on this hobby and I feel a lot better doing it after I check your website first.
