Congratulations on the new speakers! But doesn’t one speaker less than a foot from a window/wall and one with what looks like a lot of open space on that side significantly mess with the image and soundstage ?
DeVore O/96 Unboxing
I’m not a sushi freak. I like it but I’m not the connoisseur guy that sits at the counter and just lets the chef create what he wants to serve me.
Opening my speakers was quite a nervous reveal. I knew that hand curated, walnut finish baffles is a DeVore variable that just is what it is. I had to trust that the master chef had created a beautiful and delicious meal for me. He did. And my wife approves too. Whew.

@ronboco Yes. It’s not ideal. I have limited options with the room as is. For critical listening I cover the windows with (3) 2’x3’ acoustic panels and put up a 5’ gobo studio panel on the kitchen side to block first reflections off the right speaker. I’m loosely considering rotating the room 90° to use the long wall as the front wall. The GIK panels I already have up helped a lot but there’s always room for more. |
