Denon DVD 2800 vs. Yamaha S2300

Hello, I am new to mid-fi DVD players and was wondering if anyone out there knew the differences between these two units Denon DVD 2800 / Yamaha S2300.
I have been looking for the most bang for the buck under 500 and these two seem to be it based on reviews. However, everything I can find makes me think that they had the same OEM.
If I should be looking somewhere else or at different models all together please let me know.
