You would only need a step up transformer if your PASS did not have enough gain for the DL-S1 which it does, 71dB in RCA and 76dB in balanced plenty for the 130uV of the DL-S1.

I have a Pass Labs XONO phono amp, do I really need their matching AU-S1 step up transformer to voice it out ? Your input is greatly appreciated.
