I am considering the Denon 2900 for use as a CD/SACD player in a budget two channel system. There would be no TV attached. Is it useable without a monitor or would I need to rig something up for setup etc?
I've got my 2900 playing without a TV as we speak. Works just fine! I would connect it to a TV, get your setting the way you want them then you should be good to go!
One of the better player transports of all time. Great as tranport for DAC and can be modded with discrete output. Built like a tank. Turned into the 3900 series after this version.
