I read that center channel design is not so good, that regular speaker can be used instead (placed horizontally?) Since lcd/plasmas dont need shielding, is this a good idea?
Unless you can get the mid range and tweeter at the same height as R and L main then it is debatable whether you would not be better off with "phantom center"....
