Dalton Baldwin

Just read of the passing of Dalton Baldwin.  I was never fortunate enough to see/hear him live, but have totally loved/enjoyed/been enamored with his recordings with Elly Ameling, especially An Die Musik.  I was made aware of this most magnificent recording long long ago; I stopped into Lyric HiFi, and the lovely gentleman who spent time with me put this disc into a CD player and I was mesmerized.  On a return visit to Lyric I mentioned this and thanked the man, he seemed appreciative.  As was I, and still am that way.  

"Miracles appear in the strangest of places", so sang the might Merle Haggard.
