I am fine with an upsampling DAC but want it to be an option as I prefer 44.1 at this time.
You talking internal upsampling, or an upsampled output? Most DACs internally upsample but output the original sampling rate. The Benchmark DAC3 for instance internally converts all sampling rates to 110kHz, but that doesn’t mean it’s outout is 110kHz.
As I stated in the previous thread, this really should not be a concern of yours in the first place. Any decent DAC will not harm the signal by internally converting it to a higher rate.
