Interesting video on the MRNA vaccination by professor Dolores Cahill... Oh you mean this professor Dolores Cahill? A University College Dublin (UCD) professor, who chairs the Eurosceptic Irish Freedom Party, has been asked to resign from a leading European Union scientific committee over online claims she made about the Covid-19 pandemic. In an hour-long interview with a popular alt-right activist on May 10th, which has been viewed hundreds of thousands of times, Prof Dolores Cahill promised to “debunk the narrative” of the pandemic. Lockdown and social distancing is not needed to stop the spread of the virus, she said. People who recover are then “immune for life” after 10 days and deaths and illnesses could have been prevented by extra vitamins, she claimed. People with underlying health conditions, such as cystic fibrosis, could freely engage in society during the pandemic after spending a few weeks building up their immunity in this manner, she went on. Opposing vaccinations, Ms Cahill said “politicians and the media” are using Covid-19 “as a fear-mongering propaganda tool to try and take away rights from people and to make them more sick and to force vaccinations on us.” However, the European Commission said the claims made by Ms Cahill, a professor of translational medicine in UCD, could cause “significant harm”, if taken literally. https://www.irishtimes.com/news/ireland/irish-news/ucd-professor-asked-to-resign-from-eu-committee-o... |
@aolmrd1241 If you don't trust Pfizer what about Moderna? I mean come on the FDA here and counterparts in other countries have approved and tested the vaccine. You can look at any giant corporation and find fines etc. What matters is does the vaccine work? Your "expert" has no expertise in infections disease whatsoever. Her opinions are meaningless and contradict professional medical opinion. I understand the need to find someone who sounds like they know what they're talking about that gives your own opinions validations. It doesn't mean you should and it certainly doesn't mean you or she are correct. |
People are quitting the medical field for two reasons. they are burnt out from the nightmare that is Covid, or they are an anti-vaxxer. I deeply sympathize with those bearing the daily horror in hospitals around the country and world. Anti-vaxxers have no business being in the medical profession in the first place and good riddance. |
@arch2 and @lancelock I have been to the last three Cap Audiofests and have quite enjoyed them. It's grown quite a bit since my first one in 2017. I have not gone to any other shows so nothing to compare it to but I highly recommend it. I will be there on Saturday this year if work doesn't interfere. |
Part 7 says that Tucker Carlson is asking important questions about Covid. That’s all I need to know about that. Also this entire "thesis" is an extrapolation of 13 deaths out of 250 a laughably small sample size. I am not a scientist and can blow holes in this thing without trying if you believe that garbage it’s because you want to believe it. Also the author Dr Scott Mclachlan is a Dr alright, Dr of computer science not even a medical doctor or virologist. |
It’s easy to say vaccines don’t work....when you just lie. From your bogus study: Of the top 5 counties that have the highest percentage of population fully vaccinated (99.9–84.3%), the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) identifies 4 of them as “High” Transmission counties. Chattahoochee (Georgia), McKinley (New Mexico), and Arecibo (Puerto Rico) counties have above 90% of their population fully vaccinated with all three being classified as “High” transmission. Conversely, of the 57 counties that have been classified as “low” transmission counties by the CDC, 26.3% (15) have percentage of population fully vaccinated below 20%. The actual vaccination rate in Chattahooche Co Georgia is 15.52% as of the very latest data nowhere near 84.3-99.9 %. McKinley Co New Mexico’s vaccination rate is 59.18%. These are pretty easy numbers to find and that "study" is absolute BS. |
Since hitting a higher vaccination number cases in McKinley Co have declined as have deaths: "One thing that worked to the county's advantage in administering the vaccine is having a significant percentage of the county served by the Indian Health Service, he said. Nearly 80% of the county's residents are Native American, according to the U.S. Census. "A lot of other counties in New Mexico are dependent on local health care systems and private physicians to vaccinate the bulk of their populations," he said. "We were fortunate in that aspect that we have a large presence of Indian Health Service facilities to help take care of that population, which allowed for vaccines to come in directly from the federal government to that site." The Indian Health Service held drive-thru events at the Fire Rock Casino in Church Rock and did outreach to the Navajo Nation "to make it more convenient" to get the vaccine, Berry said. The county has lately been focused on bringing people back for their second dose if needed, as well as vaccination efforts in those ages 12 to 16. Since May 24, the county has reported only three COVID-19 deaths, and the seven-day average of new cases is three, down from a peak of 109 in mid-November, state data shows. There's still a lot of mask-wearing, though life has started to "look a little more normal," Berry said. "We've come a long way in the last year." There goes your narrative that vaccines don't work also your narrative that they cause deaths. |
Congratulations on missing the point entirely if you take a county hard hit by Covid then give it vaccines and the Covid cases decline it will still look like cases are high in the county if you take them as a whole that is before and after vaccinations. Also one of your authors appears to be a high school student. |
In your link about Ebola were links to several articles on the safety and efficacy of Covid vaccines. Here's one:' https://www.nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056/NEJMoa2034577 |
And Q has entered the building apparently, there is not Graphene Oxide in Covid vaccines that is a made up right wing fantasy. There is also no Rockefeller conspiracy, Bill Gates did not put microchips in the vaccines either. Burying us in reams of BS isn't impressive it's still just BS and lies or unrelated facts stitched together to make up conspiracies, enough already. |
@arch2 I used to believe in silver cables with tubes but over the years I've migrated to almost all copper. Like @ghasley I use Auditorium23 interconnects, and also Kondo copper interconnects, my speaker cables are AN Lexus copper. My digital cable by Jorma is silver but it has a natural organic warmth to it that would fool anyone. |
Here you go I said there is no Graphene Oxide in the Covid vaccines because there isn't any. https://www.reuters.com/article/factcheck-grapheneoxide-vaccine-idUSL1N2OZ14F |
Ok here you go: What Ingredients are in the COVID-19 Vaccines? Many people are curious to know what the ingredients are for the three currently available COVID-19 vaccines in the US.
More Information can be found on the CDC website. https://portal.ct.gov/Coronavirus/Covid-19-Knowledge-Base/Vaccine-Ingredients |
@isochronism Once again misinformation and a distortion of the facts here ya go: https://vaxopedia.org/2018/07/22/did-the-us-government-lose-a-landmark-vaccine-lawsuit/ And come on we're audiophiles we should hate distortion! ;) |
@ghasley I would guess fish if I had to. And as we should know climate and weather are related but not the same thing. So yes it was record low temperatures at the South Pole, that in and of itself an extreme weather event one of the hallmarks of climate change. This past July was the hottest month on earth ever, August was the 6th hottest August on record, it was just the hottest September on record. You may see a pattern here. The earth is warming and playing havoc with the weather you would have to be blind not to see it and catastrophic and extreme weather events will keep getting worse as the climate becomes warmer. |
It is in fact perfectly legal and science is not being utterly disregarded and having conditions of employment are totally normal. There is nothing irrational about taking a life saving vaccine what's irrational is not taking the vaccine and acting like it's a conspiracy against you. And sorry not taking the vaccine does not make you disabled not sure how the ADA applies? |
I didn't see sns call anyone any names other than anti-vaxxer which seems to fit. The only "mass genocide" going on is the continued deaths of the unvaccinated. Delta thankfully seems to be receding, fingers crossed, now is a great time to get vaccinated. On a semi-related note I'm getting my flu shot today. |
I don't hate anyone, Duke University, the Yankees and Red Sox notwithstanding, and I certainly wish no one dead or even unemployed. Obviously you are free to make your choice and if that choice is against your employers wishes well that's life. But you are of course free to get another job, move to another state if you wish that's freedom. Choosing to not take the vaccine is a privilege and one that obviously comes at a cost. |
The rest of you guys just don't understand risk assessment very well. What are the risks of the vaccine? Very minor thus far. What are the risks of Covid? 4,842,788 deaths worldwide. Additionally not taking the vaccine can have additional social risks as some of you have found out. You're all, theoretically at least adults, sit down and do some blunt thinking on risk assessment or consult someone. |
The long term affects of Covid are quite well known. The case of Robert Malone is a curious one here's a good writeup of him in The Atlantic: https://www.theatlantic.com/science/archive/2021/08/robert-malone-vaccine-inventor-vaccine-skeptic/6... And there seems to be a lot of confusion over what Luc Montagnier really said he did not say as is attributed to him: "Nobel Prize winner Luc Montagnier has confirmed that there is no chance of survival for people who have received any form of the vaccine," the post says. "In the shocking interview, the world’s top virologist stated blankly: ‘There is no hope and no possible treatment for those who have been vaccinated already. We must be prepared to incinerate the bodies.’ The scientific genius backed claims of other pre-eminent virologists after studying the constituents of the vaccine. ‘They will all die from antibody dependent enhancement. Nothing more can be said.’" This has been proven false, he did not say it. What he seems to actually be saying is that mass vaccination is bad because vaccines cause virus's to mutate, that is as far as I know true to a certain extent it's not the same thing as him saying the vaccines don't work. However his statement that deaths have followed vaccinations in every country is false. |
Here is the problem with anecdotal evidence, I've had bouts of vertigo off and on throughout my life. I've been fully vaccinated since March 22nd, since then not a single bout of vertigo. See how that works? dabel I am very sorry to hear of your wifes struggles vertigo is seriously debilitating and bless her for being a teacher. |
