I didn't mean that in a negative sense, switching things up is the best way to figure out what you like and can be very fun. Sometimes the hunt is more enjoyable then the meal. Definitely get some experience with Accuphase, it compliments speakers like Klipsch that run slightly on the cool side of neutral, and should be easy to sell on if you don't like it.
Cornwall IV's with Accuphase E-650? good match?
been trying to source a used Luxman as I've read they pair well with both Cornwalls and a number of speakers I already own
unfortunately they're pretty scarce around me and a used Accuphase just popped up at a decent price
anybody have experiences with this combo as I try and decide to take the plunge?

I agree with @jond, yes it will work, but just about every amp on the planet will work. Not using tubes is a bit of wasted opportunity with a 102db efficient speaker, but with that said, I think Accuphase is a better match for the Cornwall then Luxman. I prefer warmer, richer tones however that doesn't seem to be your taste given your preferences. Either way you seem to constantly swap gear so why not give Accuphase a shot, I'm sure a Luxman will come around eventually. |
