Subwoofers and Seating Position for Klipsch Forte iv's
@soix how exactly does one carefully place their subwoofer?  Do you move it all around the room, tweaking phase and output settings to eliminate bad choices?  Is it inch by inch or foot by foot?  Are you using music or sound tones?  What if you ha...
Subwoofers and Seating Position for Klipsch Forte iv's
After reading OPs response, I think I disagree with Tony on every one of his points-   1. Clearly there is a budget in mind as well as certain esthetic requirements that adding pile of bass speakers would be prohibited for multiple reasons.  2. ...
Warm, yet detailed tube preamp
@audiojan Did you ever wonder why tweeters are small and woofers are large?  It's because of the different wavelengths of those sounds.  When a full range driver tries to create high and low frequencies at the same time, those differences in vibra...
Warm, yet detailed tube preamp
@audiojan I’ve heard the Omen and the Supreme uses a similar full range driver made in house and that’s the problem. If you like them that’s great, but asking to get more detail from them is like trying to get bass from a pair of Maggie’s. But sur...
Warm, yet detailed tube preamp
Have you tried any other speakers?  Zu is the antithesis of warm and detailed.
Lii Audio open baffles vs Forte 1 vs Heresy IV
The Lii’s sound great but they have a little bit of dipole diffusion whereas the Forte and Heresy had a little more focus & imaging vs the bigger soundstage of the Lii.  I’d imagine that a less symmetrical room might emphasize that difference....
Cornwall iv
Congrats!  The CW is a fun "entertainment" room type a speaker.  Throw them in a large space, use them for music and movies, especially concerts and they are difficult to match.  Great for parties and guests, and when you don't want to be a critic...
Looking for 200 watt Amp to drive Dynaudio Heritage speakers
I'm currently running the HS with a Musical Fidelity A308.  45lbs, 300 watts into 4 ohms but it does sound a bit sleepy below 75% on the dial, and opens up wonderfully when you let it rip.  So I kinda get what you are looking for.  I've demoed the...
Cornwall IV's with Accuphase E-650? good match?
I didn't mean that in a negative sense, switching things up is the best way to figure out what you like and can be very fun.  Sometimes the hunt is more enjoyable then the meal.  Definitely get some experience with Accuphase, it compliments speake...
Cornwall IV's with Accuphase E-650? good match?
I agree with @jond, yes it will work, but just about every amp on the planet will work.  Not using tubes is a bit of wasted opportunity with a 102db efficient speaker,  but with that said, I think Accuphase is a better match for the Cornwall then ...
Heritage Cornwall Iv's vs ZU Audio Omen Defs
I suppose they sound natural, they sound like regular speakers and not horns if that’s what you mean, only larger and more efficient. They have a pronounced bass response so not exactly balanced per se but compared to other high efficiency speaker...
15 in full range drivers
@corelli as James alluded to in the first post, I suspect the fatigue OP is experiencing is from cone breakup.  His 15in full range driver is literally bending as it tries to vibrate at higher frequencies in the middle and lower frequencies at the...
Speaker Pairing - First Watt F8
Guttenberg uses an F7 with Cornwall IVs and has had some Devore Speakers in his system. Id go Cornwall, but if sticking within the three mentioned, I’d vote Volti. The Devore might also be a nice fit but you’ve got a really room to fill, and I thi...
Floor to Bookshelf
Really nice comparison of Dynaudio monitors here-
15 in full range drivers
@corelli  At volume does your Tekton system start to outperform your Omega system, playing something like rock or orchestral?  70db?  75?  In OPs own words he describes his system as fatiguing.  And your suggestion is what, grin and bear it?  Mayb...
