Your solution will work. In my home office, I have a Muse Model 2 DAC connected to an M-Audio Revolution soundcard using the SP/DIF out on the Revolution. Both "CD-quality" Internet radio and .wav files sound very good.

Connecting a Musical Fidelity 324 DAC to a PC
I'm looking for a good way to connect my PC to my Marantz stereo amp. I have an Audophile sound card, and thought to connect this to a Musical Fidelity 324 DAC. The music files are WMA lossless.
Does anybody have any advice on the viability of doing this, or suggestions of alternative solutions.
