component I/C's for HD TV

Hi all,
Is there a difference between "component" (Y, Pb, Pr) cables/interconnects and a "digital" (coax) cable? also, is there a difference between the 3 types of component cables, i.e. - does a Y connector have to be to the Y terminal/connect-point or can they be interchanged randomly?

Soundsgr8- With respect to the former, I do not believe that there is a difference between a component and a digital coax. They are both suppossed to be true 75 ohm cable with RCA terminations. Of course, then you have to filter out the whole cable marketing thing. With respect to the latter, I am quite sure that there are no differences among any of the three component cables, nor is there any difference between three composite video cables rubber banded together, and a component video set (if the wire and terminations are the same). Its just convenience, and the coding is just so you can make sure each output terminal is properly connected to its corresponding input terminal.
