Complete newb question

Ok, needing to setup audio to replace what sounds like blown speakers from a projector.  So the setup is this: From a pc/laptop, HDMI to wall, which then goes to the projector.  It's a Panasonic PT-VW530, it has an audio out Jack, but I it looks like it only does 0 V [rms] to 2.0 V [rms] variable, output impedance 2.2 kΩ and less, which doesn't seem like a lot to feed 2-4 speakers.  I am needing to cover a room that's approximately 30'x40' that usually accommodates a crowd of around 30 people that's talking low, I.E disinterested employees sitting in a meeting, the room itself is almost entirely large glass windows, white boards, and drywall (which I read is pretty much the horror story for audio).  I am not looking for studio quality, but having the sound from the meetings not sound like it's coming from somebody with Tourette's drowning would be great.  Now I -think- I would need something that would separate the audio signal from the HDMI and pipe that to the speakers, or if the audio jack from the projector would be sufficient I'd be more than happy to do  that.  Then I would also need speakers.  I can assemble, but I'm just second guessing myself on my calculations in regards to the specs of what I'd need.

     Your Variable Audio Out jack is designed to feed a stereo sound system, through an 1/8" stereo plug to two RCA plugs/jacks adapter*.

      No way to power a pair of speakers directly.

                   2V is plenty to drive any receiver/integrated, of your choice.

Thank you for the information, one last question.  Would I be able to use a small amp instead of a receiver?  Trying to hide it as much as possible and for as cheap as possible (yay non-profits!).

       It's been decades since I've shopped for PA  gear and: never have, for anything inexpensive (relatively speaking).

       Probably: lots of new, cheaper possibilities, (ie: powered speakers) with which I'm unfamiliar.

       I'd try checking what's available, at the local thrift stores and/or craigslist.

      That's a large room and to overcome the yakking of a typical 30-strong group, well...

                         Sorry I can't offer any better suggestions.

      Typed 'powered speakers' in my search bar and came up with all kinds of crazy stuff*.

       Best be certain, whatever you find actually functions, before laying down the cash.

              Even some new stuff, that I'd consider, "cheap", in this colllection:                               https://www.musiciansfriend.com/powered-pa-speakers

                               Be careful about connectivity.

@stilgar98 -

      Here's something that has an Aux Mini input, is widely available used (ie: eBay), and should prove much better than the speakers in the projector (even when they were new):

                                           on eBay:

             If one doesn't cut it: buy a couple and a 'Y' mini connector.
