Comments on Panasonic TH-42PX50U Plasma TV

I am considering buying the Panasonic TH-42PX50U 42" Flat-Panel HD-Ready Plasma TV. A 50" will not fit on my cabinet and this unit seems to fit the bill to replace my Sony 32" XBR TV. Has anyone bought this unit? Do you have any comments? Thanks..

Hgeifman,

You have under estimated your choice! The Panny TH-42PX50U is not an HD-Ready Display, It is a full blown HD-TV. That Panny has a built-in HD tuner, SD tuner, QAM digital cable TV tuner and supports cable-card which can eliminate the need for a digital Cable-TV set-top-box.

When you add in the included table-top stand and integrated speakers, the Panny comes out tops on my bargain scale.

I own the Panny TH-42PD25 EDTV Plasma which has the same features as the PX50, except it is EDTV resolution and not HD. I love it! I'm a hugely value conscious consumer and I feel the $2400 I paid was a bargain!

Enjoy,

TIC
