ClearAudio Tracer tonearm tracking force adjustment malfunction
The tracking force adjustment only works clockwise (less force) and just unscrews from the end of the tonearm when I turn it counter clockwise.
This is a new issue; possibly caused by turning the knob too much one way or the other.
I don’t know how the mechanism works but there is some internal mechanism that moves the counter weight.
Anyone know how this works or what the solution might be other than taking it in for service?

@mulveling Thanks for the advice - I tried both suggestions and neither worked but I think I've figured out how it works. My guess is there is a nylon piece inside the pivot housing that the rod threads into which pulls the weight section forward and it is stripped. I'll email Musical Surroundings.
