I recently came into some 7 inch 45's and tried cleaning them on my 16.5 without success (do I hear laughing out there?) It would not vacuum much of the cleaning fluid to say the least. Has anyone come up with a way to do this or is it a lost cause on this machine?
Get the 7" kit. I use it, and it works well. Comes with an armwand just for 7" records, and an adapter to fit the large hole. THey also make a wand for 10" records as well.
Just place a 33 record under it. It will work well enough. Another idea, is to cut a 33 to go around the 45. Easy enough to use an old record for the border.
You could do it with maybe a second cleaning wand and tape off the open area of wand so suction is optimal, I cleaned one on mine once and used my SOTA Reflex clamp to hod it correct position.
There is a 7 inch vacuum assembly and clamp kit for the HW-16.5. I know that the mail order dealers have it in stock normally. You should be able to get it from your favorite.
