classe cdt-1 10 years old....good buying??

I've had one purchased in 2001 and it's still going strong. I believe it uses an Analogue Devices DAC which was state of the art at the time. Honestly my only reference (besides analogue table) is a Schiit Bifrost II fed by a PC. I prefer the Classe' in general. For $380 sounds like a steal, I see them on fleabay for $1800 and I paid over $2k at the time (new)

Classe has been terminated by parent company Massimio.  So if you have an issue I suspect it will be difficult to repair.  I would get something new for all the reasons the OP discussed, such as Laser Life

What makes you say that Classe has been terminated? Classe has just released a new version of their preamp. 

 Ten yrs old that’s a lot of mileage for laser. Buy new.
