Class D vs Class A Education

Can anyone some it up in a nut shell if possible what the difference in design and output are of class D vs class A power?

But how about having the best compromise in one package? Would you recommend particular amps that deliver closer to the ideal regardless of As and Ds?

Anyway, of what I heard I like LAMMs and Rowlands regardless of their particular designs. And if any system doesn't do PRaT well I am not interested even if it has a midrange to die for. I believe that the rhythm is the foundation of music. And we are all originally from African continent; you know that,right?

It could be even more interesting to say "African things" in places like, say, Paris or Berlin. But I may be wrong, I've never been to there.
