Class D is just Dandy!

I thought it was time we had a pro- Class D thread. There's plenty of threads about comparisons, or detractors of Class D.

That's fine, you don't have to like Class D amps, and if you don't please go participate on one of those threads.

For those of us who are very happy and excited about having musical, capable amps that we can afford to keep on 24/7 and don't require large spaces to put them in, this thread is for you.

Please share your experiences with class D amps!

Thanks for the thread, Erik!

I'll be following closely and trying to keep quiet until my Primare breaks in a bit.
"I like it, a line of electronics named after great cheeses of the world. "

They would have gone well with Red Wine components if Vinnie Rossi hadn't gotten vain and changed the name. What's a LIO anyway?

My Primare I32 arrived yesterday. I am a convert and it's not even fully burned in yet. Female vocals are simply indescribable!
You know what I like about my Class D (Primare I32)?
It sounds really, really good. I have no idea if it has ICEpower or NCore, or Hypex in it, and I'm really not sure I want to learn enough to know if it matters. Every time I get more educated on the technology of HiFi it causes gear-lust costs me money. I'm much better off listening in blissful ignorance.
Seeya, fellas.
Just about a month after getting my first class D, I now have two. I love the Primare I32; but it has no acceptable option for headphones. So I got a little Topping TP30 Mk2 which accepts input from the I32's Pre-out and has headphone and speaker outs. I can connect conventional headphones in the conventional way and my Stax electrets to the speaker terminals. It works and sounds quite nice, except the I32 does not have a speakers on/off switch, since it only has one set of outputs. I need a quick, convenient way to disconnect the main speakers, which are bi-wired and a PITA to connect via bare wire, without compromising the 12G speaker wire. As much as I wanted to avoid bananas, I ordered some stackable ones yesterday.
Just to keep the thread active:
Please refer to my post of 5/20.  I am a little disappointed in you folks, or maybe you were just trying to spare me the embarrassment of so obvious an oversight. First, The TP30 II is not class D; it's class T.
More importantly there certainly is a way to turn the speakers off on the I32. It's called a MUTE button.
Sometimes I can be so obtuse! Any way, I am glad I got everything well sorted out and can now easily select speakers, standard headphones and electrostatics as the mood strikes me.
As I mentioned before I have a Primare I32 and a Topping TP30 mk2 that I connect to the tape out to drive a Stax headphone system. I have a pair of old BA T-830s connected to the Stax adaptor for the hell of it. Sometimes, when I want the best sound from the Stax, I connect them directly to the Primare, which I did tonight.
After a while I reconnected my 'big' speakers, Canton Ergos, to the Primare and popped I Robot SACD into the BDP-95. It sounded really good. I got to a loud passage and turned the volume down with the remote. Still too loud, so I turned it down some more. And more, and..
I finally put my glasses on and saw that the Primare was down to 0 volume and I'd left the TP30 on. I had been listening to the BA T-830s being driven by a 10 Watt (generous) class T amp the size of a sandwich in a 38'x28' room with the volume less than half way up and it was still too loud!
"I don't know why people have to defend or overly praise Class D compared to other amplifier topologies when the end result is if you like it then keep listening." - @sfseay
Those defenses, explainations, and informed opinions are what helped motivate me to explore and eventually buy a class D. We don't all come to the forums from the same level of expertise or knowledge.
