Continue using Pioneer is my first thought. It's great receiver even if your speakers desire more power. On the other hand, there's no such thing as excess power unless you really want to crank it hard. You'll be fine even with 500wpc one.
You might want to consider the Emotiva Fusion 8100 receiver. It has a very robust amplification section and most of the goodies one expects from modern receivers. It is priced right at about $450...
