I have used both and I have tried many cables against the Verastarr. Verrastar is more neutral, much quieter, mids are natural. I would pick the Verastar Silver Reference over Black Mountain in XLR configuration.

I am trying to select from Black Mountain (pinnical) and verastarr (reference), straightwire maestro II, and mapleaudio (ambiance series).
All reviews I have read have been older reviews...any opinions on these cable...I recently purchased the new Denon pre and matching amp.?????
