I don’t own an aurender, only a bluesound node.
So I’ll just offer my thoughts.
I’m wanting to upgrade to an aurender. It’s a tough decision for me because a streamer is not like an amp or even a dac that would still be relevant for years to come. The streamer you buy today will probably be old technology in 5 years.
so the older generation models will go old sooner. Ex the x100 doesn’t do roon.
However the new models cost so much I’m hesitant to buy one.
this probably doesn’t help much but just my thoughts.
Choice between Aurender streamers
Hello guys! I know that Aurender streamers are considered among the best in their category in terms of sound quality, and I have a choice of 2 pre-owned models at seemingly attractive prices: Aurender N100SC (with USB and coax output, 1.2kusd) and X100S (USB output, 850usd). From those of you who know these exact models, which one would you recommend, if any? Under all other equal conditions to simplify the question. HDD availability/capacity is not really important, only streaming part.
And another question is whether coax output of N100SC is good enough comparing to USB output to avoid search of proper digital interconnects, because I have good coax interconnect and not in a mood to spend on good USB interconnect without real good reason.
