Cerious Technologies NEW Graphene Cables

Now, this is not a advertisement, just a posting sharing my experience on some well made great sounding cables at a very reasonable price. Besides, I don't think Cerious Technologies is set up for a big influx of cable orders.

But, if you get the chance to try these cables, please do.

I have been interested in the newer cables coming out that are using Graphene as a conductor. SR cables seemed interesting, but I always hated the way there cables had all those extra wires (with the active shields and such). I then noticed an ad early in I think November or December from Cerious Technologies for Graphene cables. I investigated how the cables were assembled and it seemed like quite a laborious process.

I ordered (with a 30 day money back guarantee) the balanced Graphene interconnects, and boy did they impress me. Such depth, soundstage, realism, frequency smoothness, effortless sound. I was truly impressed!  I now have a complete loom of the Cerious Technologies Graphene cables. That is; interconnects, speaker cables, digital cables and power cords.

I ended up selling all of my other cables and to those of you who have read my postings know that cables have always been my curiosity.

So, as I began this post, let me again iterate, I have no alliance to the company, my posting is for those of you looking for an great alternate high quality Graphene made cable without spending a fortune.

" I'm very happy with all of the CT cables I've bought. If anyone isn't sure, and wants to do some more research before jumping on Bobs band wagon, all of my Morrow cables are up for sale. "

Interesting.  I'm currently running Morrow SP2 for my high frequency speaker cable run(bi-wire setup).   I'm thinking of trying out the GE cables.  The SP2 actually sound pretty good, but the dang wires are so small that there is just not much gauge to them.  I wonder if I'm getting all the dynamics possible out of my speakers.
Yeah, as he requested in a phone conversation, I emailed Bob on Nov. 10 about getting the order form for a set of speaker cables, but have not heard back.  I know he's very busy, will call him back.
Heard from Bob today on my set of GE speaker cables, and all is good.  Looking forward to comparing to my current cables.
My set of GE speaker cables are on the way!  My question to current owners is if I should expect there to be a break in period, during which the sound may not be good.  Or do they sound good right away?  Bob says they are not directional, but has anybody tried them both directions?  Thanks!
@lak

Thanks!  Because the terminals on my amp do not accept bananas, my set will have spades for the amp end, and bananas on the speaker end, so they can only run one way.
I sure hope I enjoy them too.  My current speaker cables don't really sound bad, actually, so the GEs will need to be significantly better to be able to justify the money.  It's just that I'm getting the bug for new speakers, but I first want to be sure to have the best speaker cables I can reasonably afford in place before beginning to make speaker comparisons.
OK, I just hooked up my new 9' set of GE speaker cables to my Legacy Audio Signature II speakers.  I previously had them bi-wired with Morrow Audio SP-2 on the high frequency terminals and thick, stranded Esoteric Audio cables on the LF terminals.

I have only listened a bit so far, but the difference in sound was immediate.  I don't know if GE speaker cables "break in" over time, but they were immediately and significantly more open and detailed.  It just seems like there is more of the source coming through now.

I need to do some more listening with strings, cymbals, and deep bass in order to make a more complete evaluation, but the initial impression is very favorable!
Just call them up.  I had to follow up on mine.  Just hooked the speaker cables up today, pretty impressed.
Hi Bob, I’m not up on such devices; perhaps some gurus here can chime in.

Since you mentioned break in, what is your (or any owners with experience) current recommendation on that? What aspects of the sound should I expect to change during break in?

I’ve had my GE speaker cables for a week or two, and they do sound quite different from other cables. I’m here to tell you, these are extremely revealing, open and clear on the highs, with an extremely wide sound stage. I can see how they might illuminate any deficiencies in an audio system. They tell all!

In my system, at least, bass and mid-bass impact is not as great as a set of Furutech copper cables(which were said to have been burned in on a machine for 69 hours) I have on hand. I’m not sure which cable is actually more accurate on that. Should I expect the bass to change over time? Thanks for any tips!
@jsm71

I can echo your finding of bass extension, which is very deep. My only concern is that, while they do go so deep, I’m not sure about the attack and impact of it. I’m not sure if that is because they lack in that department, or if some other cables accentuate mainly the mid bass. I’m beyond my return window, so I can’t return them anyway. No problem, as I really enjoy the music with them. Vocals are just great.

I am going to try and do a shotgun run with the GE and the Douglas cables I compared them with.  They clearly have a different sound, more bass slam with the Douglas, but much better mid and high clarity with the GE.  Maybe a shotgun run would be the best of both worlds!  Hope it doesn't brick my amp, though.
ozzy,

I am playing my Oppo BDP-83 via HDMI into a Denon AVR-X5200 receiver, which is connected via High Fidelity CT-1 interconnects to my Krell FPB-400cx power amp.   Legacy Audio Signature II speakers connected with Cerious GE speaker cables.
Hmmm.  I'm really impressed with my GE speaker cables, but I'm not so sure what to think about posts with any possibly negative info being removed. I do hope there was some good cause for the removal.
@jmcgrogan2

Lol, I hear you!  I was a rep for 30 years and spent a lot of time studying and memorizing the package inserts and clinical trials you guys come up with.  And yes, extremely regulated.
Just checking in on this thread because I recently added a center channel speaker to my system.  For the center channel, dialog clarity clarity is of the upmost importance.  I have had Cerious GE cables for my front L/R speakers for several years now and clarity is perhaps their greatest strength.

Now I need a cable for the center speaker, if I can find it, to match the front L/R.  I only need the one cable, six feet should be plenty long.  I did just peruse the cables available on Agon and did not see any GE cables, much less a single cable for a center speaker.
Any ideas on other cables that may come close to the clarity of the GE cables?  I'd be open to other brands if they are of similar clarity and sound quality.
