CD players - Luxman vs. Esoteric?

I was down to Luxman, Esoteric, and Audio Note. Ended up with Luxman. Very pleased with it so far.

Which player did you end up buying?

I have Luxman D06, feel I made a great purchase decision. Use it with Luxman 509U and Vandersteen 5A speakers. Very enjoyable, in a dedicated room.

Hi, I took a look at this d-08 luxman player, great player!, however, you can use the esoteric k-01 direct to amplifiers!, which in my case is better!, my i/c is to exspensive to buy multiple i/cs just to use a pre-amp, and in my exsperience, pre-amps add a veil over the sound, or add their own flavor, sound signature,character to the sound!, LOL!, I have the Taralabs zero gold 1-meter balanced i/c!, way to exspensive to buy many of them!, atleast it is for me!, Happy listening!
