You can keep the Sony and invest your money in a real nice DAC. Then, at a later time you can improve the transport.
CD player upgrade
I currently have a Sony CA80ES 5 disc player. I would like to upgrade to a better cd player without losing the convenience of a 5 disc player. I have a Musical Fidelity 3.2 integrated with a Musical Fidelity a324dac as my other main pieces. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
