No, I don’t have subwoofers. My speakers produce a pretty satisfactory amount of bass.
Cd player Transport/Dac advice
I currently have the EMM Labs TSdx transport and the Dac2xv2 dac. I was wondering if anyone out there has any experience in hearing this combo and also may have heard either or both the Luxman D-10x or the Esoteric K-01xd(hope I got those right). Just wondering how the EMM labs holds up in comparison to these two highly regarded cd players. It’s too difficult to get to audition components, so counting on those with experience for their insight. Thanks.
@sidog1460 The thing about digital is that regardless of all the trash in the middle, when all is said and done, 1 is a 1 and a 0 is a zero. Digital equipment can not make heads or tails out of anything else. If it could our cell phones would be the same disaster analog phones were. What is important is the quality of construction and the design of the analog sections. Both Esoteric and Luxman make high quality units. You would be perfectly happy with either. Personally, I think of all the high end manufacturers, Bricasti Design offers the best value. I have used the M1 DAC and M19 transport in an excellent high end system and can not imagine a better sounding pair. If it were not for the fact that I need a universal transport and have no room for additional equipment I would get an M19 in a heartbeat. Question. Do you use subwoofers? |
