Mr. Rayhall, No wonder your CAT sounds better when putting in 6922's, if you have read your owners manual, it states that you may not put in de 6dj8 type, because the v6 v7 has been designed around the 6922. [it has to do with different voltage]. as i have been foolish to throw in all sorts of equivalents myself, i had costly repair for all sorts of fet's which blew up. now you may think it your way.. as i used to do, but i have this information from Ken Stevens himself, and my own six years of living with my CAT has learnt me to not mess around with tubes at v6 v7 !! btw, you will not notice a couple of fet's been blown, your CAT will still play music, but not like it was intended... I've warned you. take care enjoy your music.
