Cary SLP-98L vs. Don Sachs Model 2

Anybody have experience comparing these two preamps?  I haven't heard either - have only read positive things about both. The Don Sachs seems to be universally praised on various internet Fora, but there is a lot of similar praise for the Cary SLP-98L. The only negative comments I read about the Cary were in a review where it was being compared to it's nearly twice as expensive sibling, the Cary SLP-05.

I've found a used Cary SLP-98 that puts it a little lower, price-wise, than a new Don Sachs Model 2.

So, any thoughts or advice to share?
