cartridges

hi everyone. any one have any thoughts of 'grado cartridges'? I have one that I bought back in 1990. my grandkids were playing with my turntable and the stylus or needle broke off. is it cheaper to replace the needle or by a complete new one?

Grado TLZ was my first really "great" cartridge, back in the 80s.  I still have it but don't use it.  I thought there was something "special" about the cantilever and/or stylus.  Is there a modern day replacement assembly that preserves the excellent performance of an original?
