capacitance with a 100VA transformer

I have a +/- 15V power supply. It uses a 100VA transformer to drive a buffer stage with gain.

The capacitance at present is about 3300uF. Is there any reason why I should not increase this to 4400uF? What is the maximum capacitance this 100VA will bear?

Generally speaking, a capacitor is like a container - the bigger it is, the more charge it will hold. But it will only fill to what the transformer/diodes charge it to. As far as maximum capacitance, there is none, but there is a point where too large a capacitor would be overkill and/or too phyiscally large to fit.
