Cambridge Audio CXN V2 outputs question ?

Hi,
Maybe someone with an CA CXN V2 could answer a couple of questions, before i purchase.

  1. In PRE-AMP mode, is the digital output 'unmodulated' ie. not affected by the CXN volume.
  2. How easy is to to change sources, from a digital input, to say tidal or spotify ?
Thanks in advance.

Don't know except I see it has Spotify connect. You just start Spotify on any device that is on one of the big 3 OSs and then select it as the player. It lists Tidal and Qobuz on the product page so they've got to be pretty easy. For more answers call an "expert"

Cambridge Connect (the player app) does get pretty bad reviews. You might be better off with a BluNode.
Or if you gotta have a preamp this one is newer and better SQ, display and remote.
Tubilicious. If you can get one I recommend  a couple of 6FQ7s. They don't make them that sweet anymore. I run one in my Vali 2.  RCA clear tops are supposed to be the best.

Thanks for your replies. Was hoping to get an input from someone who has direct experience with the CXN. V2
