Of course there is no way to tell but to try, but I would not spend $600 on a CXC to find out. Supposedly the transports in the CXC and the 651 are substantially similar, so I would doubt it. But if you can score a refurbished unit on Ebay for $300 or so, I think it might be worth buying to fool around with. Up to you.
Cambridge Audio CXC Transport Question
I am currently using a Cambridge Audio 651C CD player as a transport and I am using the coax connection to my DAC. Would there be a significant improvement if I moved to a CXC transport?
