Calling all Eggleston owners

So I am the proud owner of Eggleston Andra 3 SEs. It was therefore with a sinking feeling that I watched a YT video by Danny of GR research where he showed that the Eggleston’s have a major hole in the frequency response due to an incorrectly designed crossover. A few years back Stereophile saw that hole also but didn’t comment. I haven’t noticed anything but then again I can’t do an A/B sound test.

I’m wondering what other Eggleston owners think of all this…

you can try playing a song with guitars and if you know how that song's guitar sounds like, playing the through your speakers should presend as the harmonics sounding distant. many things like cymbal crashes, horns and sense of attack will seem dull @pbecker128

I’m wondering what Eggleston has to say about the GR Research finding?

I've tried calling Eggleston several times. Also email. Never any answer. They haven't added any comment on the Youtube video so far. I wonder what's going on with them.

Here is a link to that video:

The Stereophile review says the loudspeaker is sensitive to toe-in, tilt, listening distance and room size.  If you don't pay attention to these elements the "hole" can be heard.

All loudspeakers have some compromises.  Did you have a problem with their sound before you watched the video?
