Cables between Magnepan and Audio Research

I am finishing up the conversion of my second system to my third and have a question about speaker cables. I am using an Audio Research VT200 and Magnepan 3.7 speakers.

Currently, I have some older MIT cables and believe they make the system a little opaque. I am using balanced Cardas Golden Reference between the Ref 3 pre and the VT200 and wonder if the Cardas Golden Reference would also work well as speaker cable. FWIW, I also am using a new VPI Classic with Benz Micro Gullwing and an Einstein Turntables Choice phono section.

Has anyone tried this combination or have another cable that has worked well?
